Constructed by the Friends of Saxonville, this scenic walking trail was named in honor of the late Carol J. Getchell, one of the FOS founders and the original proponent for the trail's creation. The trail runs for one mile alongside the Sudbury River in Saxonville, beginning next to the Danforth Street Bridge and ending at Little Farms Road.

Maintenance of the trail is on a volunteer basis through the FOS Adopt-The-Trail program.
